Recently, the government has announced a relief package of Rs. Minister of Agriculture RC Faldu, detailing the assistance package announced by the state government, said that the invasions of millions of locusts on Banaskantha and Patan districts of Rajasthan and Pakistan on the 1st of December, 8th December, had greatly damaged the standing crop of the farmers of this area.
According to RC Faldu, the Agriculture Department conducted the survey under the immediate guidance of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. After conducting the survey, a package has been announced for more than 3,000 farmers in the area of loss. Farmers who have suffered loss of 2% or more to the crop of the farmers will be paid compensation within the limit of two hectares.
Thus, in addition to the SDRF standard of the Central Government, the State Government will provide a total assistance of Rs. Of the total hectare area affected in Banaskantha, 5 hectares affected by locust invasion and 5 hectare area affected by hectare in Patan district are estimated to cover an area of 8,000 hectares.
Faldu also said that the amount of assistance to be paid to the farmers would be deposited directly from the DBT into the farmers' account. In addition, the remaining farmers will be assisted by conducting surveys as per their requirement

The Agriculture Minister further said that the agriculture department survey showed that crops like cumin, rhizo, wheat and castor were more damaged. A detailed survey of the situation was reported to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister, as a result of which a farmer has decided to give this assistance to the farmers.
